Amazon is the largest online retailer in the world by market capitalization. Like most Covid-19 pandemic driven online retail businesses, they are looking at expanding their service delivery lines. This expansion on online delivery indirectly spurs the necessity to have more distribution centers to serve regional consumers more efficiently. Distribution centers ease the logistics and warehousing necessary for online order placements, providing locations whereby people can collect or return items ordered.
It has been foretold by analysts that 25% of America's mall will disappear within the next three to five years as of this writing. However, more of such malls and stores may very well be converted into distribution centers for online retail businesses.
